Hydroxyethylcellulose(HEMC),chemical formula(C2H6O2)n,is a white or light yellow,odorless,non-toxic fibrous or powdery solid,prepared by etherification reaction of alkaline cellulose and ethylene oxide(orchloroethanol),is a non-ionic soluble cellulose ether.
