Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose is a kind of non-ionic cellulose ethermade from natural polymer materials through a series of chemical pro-cessing.They are a odorless,tasteless,non-toxicwhite powder that dis-solves in cold water to form a transparent,viscous solution.Properties ofthickening,bonding,dispersion,film formation,suspension,adsorption,gels,surface activity,moisture retention and protective colloid.
Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose can be used in building materials,coatingindustry,synthetic resin industry,ceramics industry,medicine,food,tex-tile,agriculture,cosmetics and other industries.

1.Appearance:White or off-white powder,odoress and tasteless.
2.Particle size:100 mesh pass rate>98%,80 mesh pass rate 100%
3.Carbonization temperature:280℃--300℃
4.Apparent density:0.25-0.70g/cm³(generally 0.5g/cm³)
5.Discoloration temperature:190℃--200℃
6.Surface tension:42-56dyn/cm³in the condition of2%aqueous solution
7.Solubility:Soluble in water and some organic solvents,the aqueous solution has surfaceactivity.Solubility changes with viscosity,and as viscosity rises,solubility begins to declineHPMC perfor-mance also changes with different specification.The solubility of HPMC inwater is not affected by the PH value.
8.As the methoxy content decreases,the gel point of HPMC increases,its water solubilitydecreas-es,and its surface activity also decreases.
9.HPMC has the property of thickening,salt resistance low ash powder,PH stability,waterretention.dimensional stability,excellent film-forming performance,and a wide range ofenzyme resis-tance,dispersion and cohesiveness.
